First thing coming to mind when thinking about a desert family photoshoot is the temperature for most of my clients.
“Is it too hot now? It’s too hot now, isn’t it?!”
Is the question I get asked most.
I only head out for last hour before sunset which is actually fine.
.
What most people don’t think of, additionally to the temps is the wind.
.
And as much as I am trying to judge it
(never even start to head out when I see Wind being forecasted 30km/h, I rather reschedule),
being in the desert has it’s own kinda rules…
.
It was exactly that kind of afternoon.
A totally calm day in the capital, nothing that makes you even question if something is brewing up….
.
Once we reached the desert, I immediately saw the beautiful swirls of sand dancing around the road
as I was driving.
.
I love seeing sand in motion, it’s mesmerizing, therapeutical and calming in a very special way.
Even tho that is an oxymoron…
.
But it’s really not ideal when there are 3 kids involved…
I asked them as we stepped out into the gusty desert if they would be ok
or if we should come back another day.
.
They were brave and decided to go with it.
.
And they absolutely rocked all the elements!
.
Love it when magic happens in ways that are beyond any of us.
