Blooming like a flower. That’s usually just a saying, right? A beautiful process of becoming.

But in this case I took this saying literally. May I present my baby sister Isabel to you, whom I haven’t seen for 2 years thanks to Corona. Finally after so many months I travelled back to my home country Germany and had the most wonderful time with my family.

It so happened that my little sister is expecting her third baby and obviously I could have not NOT taken her state of becoming!

It was a very unusual summer even for Germany. Lots of rain, record rainfall which turned into flooding causing major damage and pain.

Isabel would’ve loved for her session to take place at one of the beaches by the river Rhine but that was not an option as everything was underwater now..

Location scouting plan B has began!

It’s funny how you notice all the things that used to be so “normal” for you,

not even paying much to attention them before.

But when you are no longer living in the same environment anymore you notice EVERYTHING 100 times more.

I fell in love with all the beautiful flower fields that farmers grow everywhere for “self cutting”.

That’s one thing I miss most living here, NATURE in all its colours..

So I said to my sister this is THE place to do her maternity session!!

As we were on our way to the flower field another massive amount of rain poured down on us.

We stayed in the car for about 15min. hoping it will stop soon.

And it did, clouds opened up a little only for the sun to peek through.

Giving us the experience of the phenomenon called a sun shower!

It was amazing.
