I love portrait photography, for it is the art of capturing the personality, emotions and expressions of a person.
It’s not about someone else beside you.
When Farah contacted me about having a portrait session she immediately told me her “why”.
And it so resonated with me.
In her words and to make it short, she wanted to capture her last days of being in her twenties.
I was totally getting her as I had a major midlife crisis when I turned 30!
Actually a really bad one.
I turned 30 and six months later I left my life as I knew it (including friends and family) and moved to a different city, country, continent I have never been before nor did I know anyone! Alone. Just me.
Oh well, 13 years later I am still here….
Back to my girl Farah.
She was envisioning her session, a SUNRISE SESSION!!! at Saadiyat beach to disconnect.
Sorry for my abusive use of exclamation marks, but I was soooo happy to hear that she was up for a sunrise shoot.
Most of my clients book me for a sunset session and that is wonderful too, but sunrise has a whole different feel to it.
Saadiyat beach tho has been shut since pandemic 2020. And to this day it remains a mystery how the most beautiful beach of Abu Dhabi stays closed for its residents.
Anyhwho, the remaining bit of nature nearby is an equally beautiful space of flora & fauna.
We actually had never met before, not even virtually, but when you’re meeting time is 5am it’s highly unlikely you won’t find each other…
And this is how the story goes:
To the new decade!
Embrace the story, the journey, the season, the life you’re in!
It’s all a beautiful part of Y-O-U!
I am with you Always.
